Padel Group Monthly Session

The June monthly Padel Group session will be held on Friday June 26 from 9.30am for 90 minutes. As an experiment, we are having two venues this time - a North and a South. The North one, aimed at people living north of Palafrugell, will be at Serres de Pals Sports Club. The Southern one, aimed at those living south of Palafrugell, will be at Club Tennis Calonge. Those people living in the Palafrugell area can opt for either venue.

The aim is to even out player numbers and cut travelling times. I will organise the Northern one and Steve Martin will handle the Southern one.

The sessions are not just for people who know how to play padel. Even if you are a complete beginner, come along. You will have a chance to learn the rules of the game and to have a hit in a friendly, non-competitive way. Padel is much easier to play than tennis. There are no overhead serves and it is played on a much smaller court.

Those attending should wear suitable sportswear and bring a hat, sunglasses and sun lotion and water as it is likely to be hot. Also bring some cash if you need to hire rackets at the clubs. I also have three spare rackets that people can borrow. The cost is six euros per person at Serres de Pals.

Please can you also indicate in the Meals Section with an N for North or an S for South which venue you want to play out. This is so that we know how many courts to book. There will be a maximum of 20 players at Serres de Pals.

I suggest we meet at 9-9-15am in order to organise playing groups. Coffee/drinks are available to buy at the clubhouses. We hope to see as many of you as possible on the day.
